God’s plan of salvation set forth in Paul’s letter to the Romans…

These few simple steps show the way to accept Jesus Christ, receive salvation and have eternal life in Heaven.

  • For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.  Romans 3:23

We have all sinned. We know right from wrong and yet we still fail. From a child we know that doing wrong brings punishment. And that punishiment for the sinner who does not know Christ as Savior, is separation from God.  In order to have our sins forgiven and to have a right relationship with God, our sins must be covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. Until this is done, we fall short of the glory of God.

  • For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Romans 6:23

Death and eternal Hell is what you receive if you don’t turn away from sin. The gift of God is eternal life in Heaven –His gift to us–for refusing to be a slave to sin any longer.

  • But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8

God sent Jesus to die in our place because of His great love that He has for us. While we were still sinners, He died for us.

  • For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.   Romans 10:13

Admit your sins – You must admit to God that you are a sinner, and as a sinner you deserve to be punished; But, by acceptitng the fact that Jesus paid for our sins on the cross, by dying in our place, we’re confessing that we believe that He not only died, but that he rose again and has victory over death, giving us eternal life:

  • That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.   Romans 10:9

Confess, meaning to agree with God. Receive Jesus as Lord and surrender your life to Him, trust in Him for forgiveness for past, present and future sins.

Are you ready to take the most important step of your life?

If you are and you understand what you have read, then all you have to do is ask Him to save you. Pray the prayer that follows or use your own words from your heart. It’s not about your wording, it’s about your heart. Do you believe?

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I am separated from you. I believe that you died for me on the cross and rose again to give eternal life. I ask you to forgive me of my sins and take total control of my life. I invite you to live in my heart as the Holy Spirit of God and will trust You to guide me from this point forward. Thank You for saving me and making me your child. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Now that you have prayed the prayer, what’s next?

Welcome to God’s family!

The next step is to tell someone about your new faith in Christ.  Jesus said  in Matthew 10:33

But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Remember that salvation is a gift and a way of life. God has given us this plan because He loves us so much and does not wish that we should perish-but live forever……
