The Road to Salvation
God’s plan of salvation set forth in Paul’s letter to the Romans…
These few simple steps show the way to accept Jesus Christ and to receive salvation.
We have all sinned. We know right from wrong and yet we still fail. In order to have our sings forgiven they must be sins covered by the blood of Jesus Christ, and until this is done, we fall short of the glory of God.
Death and eternal Hell is what you receive if they don’t turn away from sin. The gift of God is eternal life in Heaven –His gift to us–from refusing to be a slave to sin any longer.
God sent Jesus to die in our place because of the great love He has for us. While we were still sinners, He died for us.
Admit your sins – You must admit to God that you are a sinner and confess your sins to Him. Not only do we need to confess our sins, we need to repent – meaning to turn away from them.
Confess, meaning to agree with God. Receive Jesus as Lord and surrender your life to Him, trust in Him for forgiveness for past, present and future sins.
Are you ready to take the most important step of your life?
If you are and you understand what you have read, then all you have to do is ask Him to save you. Pray the prayer that follows or use your own words from your heart. It’s not about your wording, it’s about your heart.
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I am separated from you. I believe that you died for me on the cross and rose again to give eternal life. I ask you to forgive me of my sins and take total control of my life. I invite you Jesus to live in my heart. Thank You for saving me and making me your child. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Now that you have prayed the prayer, what’s next?
Welcome to God’s family!
The next step is to tell someone about your new faith in Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 10:33
But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Find a local Bible Believing and Preaching church to help you grow in your faith, to worship, and for fellowship with other believers. Spend time with God every day by reading and studying the Bible, praying to God to help you grow in your faith and trust in Him.
Remember that salvation is a gift and a way of life. God has given us this plan because He loves us so much and does not wish that we should perish-but live forever……
